Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA)

The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association is an important part of the Cheltenham Primary School community. It encourages the participation of all parents in the general life of the school as well as the education of their children. It is also the body that brings together various elements of the school community – parents, teachers and ‘friends’ (grandparents, special friends, the local community, etc.) to work as a coordinated group and contribute to the school through fundraising activities, social events and much more.

The PTFA provides an opportunity to be involved at a time and in a way that suits you, an opportunity to become more familiar with the school and get to know other families, friendship; and a sense of satisfaction for a job well done. You can assist the PTFA with your enthusiasm, ideas and time.

The PTFA, which is governed by its own Constitution, meets monthly. Some of our activities have included Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day stalls and an Easter and Christmas Raffle. Membership of the PTFA is open to all parents, staff and friends via an application form available from the Office.

Get involved!

Do you want to meet other parents and teachers, offer assistance, become an active member of our school community or help fundraise in a relaxed, informal setting?

Find your niche within our association!

We alternate monthly meetings during Term time between afternoon and evening sessions to maximise the cross-section of viewpoints and allow all to access this community.
